Last week we took part in a pamper event organised by Make Up Artist Jennifer Ireland in aid of Pretty 'n' Pink breast cancer charity. Held in the Windrose in Carrickfergus ladies enjoyed a champagne reception with delicious canapes, followed by several hours of pampering with hair and make-up advice, nail polishes and threading and shopping at pop-up shops including handmade jewellery and head pieces, delicious cupcakes and home wares as well as upstyled furniture and interior designs. With a "Just for Girls" raffle later in the night, the evening was finished with an array of entertainment including dances and lessons from burlesque group the Whistle Bait Babies, tricks and illusion from magician Rodd Hogg, swing music from Dave Martin followed by dancing the night to a close with Stewart Harper of Harper Entertainments. Proceeds on the night totalled £760.07.
